Lab coats and safety goggles sales

The student council offers a large smock sale every semester. This is announced both via the BCI e-mail distribution list and the student council's Instagram page. In addition, if the student council meeting takes place analogously again, a smock or protective goggles can also be purchased before the meeting.

Three different models of protective goggles are available:

There is one model of lab coat in different sizes. The size can be determined using the instructions and the size chart. Find out your lab coat size before you buy it.

1. First of all, you need two measurements: the inside arm length and the waist circumference.
   The inside arm length should be measured from the armpit to the wrist, the waist circumference
   should be measured at the widest point of the waist.
2. If you have both measurements, use the gown size chart (see below) and see which
   sleeve length corresponds to your inner arm length. The right sleeve length is the most important
   for a well-fitting smock. The sleeves must not be too short so that your arms
   are fully covered, but also not too long, otherwise you could get caught or
   knock something over.
3. Check whether the circumference of the gown with the right sleeve length for you also matches
   your waist size. It is advisable to leave a few centimetres of slack to
   allow for a comfortable and loose fit.
   • If the sleeve length and circumference fit, make a note of the size (number) and let
     know when you buy the gown.
   • If the gown with the sleeve length that suits you is too tight for you, choose
     the gown with the waist size that suits you and note the size
     (number) for the purchase. If the sleeves are then too long, we recommend that you have them shortened
     (simply ask friends or relatives with sewing skills
     or otherwise in an alteration shop).
